When a writer and a game master meet...

Ellen and Zack met in one of the nerdiest places possible - a college physics class - and dated for two and a half years before marrying in 2018, to no one's surprise.

Before Ellen became an executive assistant, she earned her associate’s degree in English Literature from Montgomery College, where she interned twice for the Potomac Review literary magazine. In her free time, she runs a custom crochet business and spoils her two pet cats.

Zack also earned his associate's degree in Communications from Montgomery College. Currently, he works out in the field helping customers with public transit issues and runs homebrew Dungeons and Dragons games on Roll20 on the side. He also studies medieval weaponry for fun and dreams of one day taking a sword fighting class. Yes, the pictured sword is real battle-grade steel.
